Recalling chapter 4
(Descriptive Text) 
On 25th october 2019. Group 2 presented the result of their discussion about descriptive text. 
Descriptive Text is a text which says what a person or a thing is like. Its purpose is to describe and reveal a particular person, place, or thing.

Generic Structure of Descriptive Text

When writing descriptive text, there are some generic structures (actually not mandatory) for our writing to be true. The arrangement is:
# Identification: (contains about the introduction of a person, place, animal or object will be described.)
# Description: contains a description of something such as animal, things, place or person by decribing its features, forms, colors, or anything related to what the writer describe.

Purpose of Descriptive text

– To describe person, thing or place in specific
– To describe a particular person, thing or place.

Language Feature of Descriptive Text

– Specific participant : has a certain object, is not common and unique (only one). for example: Bandengan beach, my house, Borobudur temple, uncle Jim
– The use of the adjective (an adjective) to clarify the noun, for example: a beautiful beach, a handsome man, the famous place in jepara, etc.
– The use of simple present tense: The sentence pattern used is simple present because it tells the fact of the object described.
– Action verb: verbs that show an activity (for example, run, sleep, walk, cut etc….
Example Descriptive Text 
  TAJ MAHAL - INDIA
Taj mahal, an epitome of love, is actually a mausoleum. Standing majestically on the banks of River Yamuna, the Taj Mahal is synonymous to love and romance. Taj Mahal was constructed by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in the memory of his beloved wife and queen. The name “Taj Mahal” was derived from the name of Shah Jahan’s wife, Mumtaz Mahal, which means crown of palaces.
Taj Mahal represents the finest architectural and artistic achievement. The mausoleum was constructed of pure white marble. The white marble is inlaid with semi-precious stones (including jade, crystal, lapis lazuli, amethyst and turquoise) that from the intricate designs. Its central dome reaches a height of 240 feet (73 meters). The dome is surrounded by four smaller domes. Four slender towers, or minarets, stand at the corners. Inside the mausoleum, an octagonal marble chamber adorned with carvings and semi-precious stones house the false tomb of Mumtaz Mahal. Her actual remains lie below, at garden level.
Taj Mahal shows shades of magnificent beauty at different time during the day. At dawn when the first rays of the sun hits the dome of this epic monument, it radiates like a heavenly pinkish palace. At daytime, when the sky is bright and clear, the Taj looks milky white. At a moonlit night when the full moon rays reflect back from the white marble and give the Taj Mahal a tinge of blue color. It’s simply breathtaking! With such beauty, no wonder that Taj Mahal becomes one of the Seven Wonders of the World.

Examples of Noun Phrases:

Each of these phrases contains a noun (house, board, snow). The other words modify the noun.
‌1. Examples of noun phrase as subject: The yellow house is for sale.
The glistening snow covered the field.

2‌. Examples of noun phrase as direct object: I want a skate board.
Should we buy the yellow house?
3. Examples of noun phrase as object of preposition: Jeff rode on a skate board.
Karen lives in the yellow house.
‌4. Example of noun phrase as indirect object: Lisa gave the little boy a candy.

The 2019 film Aladdin revolves around a street child who lives with his monkey friend Abu, who falls in love with a royal princess named Jasmine. because of differences in kastah and treasure he also had the chance to get a rejection, not despair, aladdin was looking for ways that he could become a prince.

Luck was on Aladdin's side, yes, he got a magic lamp in which there was a djinn that could grant all requests. Yes, use the magic lamp to turn her into a prince to win the heart of Princess Jasmine. but yes also must keep the lamp from the hands of the evil Vizier, Jafar and parrots who want to rule the kingdom of Agrabah and amazing power.
